When a relationship ends and it was not your choice, many men are left wondering how to get your girlfriend back.
Start with some time of self reflection. This is not a time of self punishment or focusing on the “If only’s” of the relationship. It is a time of examination of what you brought into the relationship. If you have been through several relationships that have ended in a similar way, then you may want to think through other similarities in those relationships.
If violence played any part in the relationship that just ended, perhaps it is best that the relationship has ended. If your girlfriend was the victim of violence that you caused, then you should take courses in anger management to learn different ways to deal with your anger. Even though the relationship may not be restored, you can learn skills that may be helpful for future relationships. You will learn how to not be violent with the very person that you say you love.
Understand that your are in the middle of a grieving process. While right now you would agree to almost anything to get your girlfriend back, you are not thinking rationally. Take a long pause before making any life changing decisions or promises.
You should also seek support from friends and relatives. Remember that they knew and loved you before the relationship began. They are still ready to stand beside you with broad shoulders and listening ears.
If you are able to make this relationship work out, great. If you are unable to work things out, then you need to make the decision to move on with your life. Try to learn from the mistakes of the past and to not repeat those mistakes. Instead, choose to live life to the fullest despite your current circumstances.
